About the Item
This antique early 20 th century cigar caddy carousel with music box is absolutely amazing. It features a black lacquer exterior and brass metal accents. The humidor features 6 rotating side panels . Each panel is delicately hand painted decorated with blue birds and butterflies On the top as well as on its base, this cigar box is decorated with a brass stylized pearl gallery. The interior of each panel has brass fittings with rings cups for holding 3 cigars and cigarillos by compartment.
The underside of the cigar box has a wind up music box which is in working order and plays a charming musical air when the cave is closing . A wood knob is located on the top of the carousel and when turned, this opens and closes the 6 panels.
This piece is top of the range decorative box . Aside from being a storage container for cigars, this very elegant and rare cigar cave could be repurposed for decorative purposes, in crafting projects or to start a collection . Indeed, antique and vintage cigar boxes are often collected by enthusiasts for their craftsmanship, design, and nostalgia and this one is really amazing.
