Perletinn Norwegian Art Deco Brutalist Pewter Cigar Box
About the Item
A very stylish Norwegian Art Deco pewter cigar or cigarette box with brutalist styling made by Perletinn and dating from around 1930. The box is of shallow rectangular shape mounted and raised on four corner triangular shaped flat feet. The hinged cover has rounded corners and a slightly raised central panel with abstract raised brutalist patterning. Similar patterning is applied around the sides of the box. The inner box is lined in wood and the box has a high quality of finish and good weight. The box has impressed makers marks to the base and is numbered 012.
Provenance: acquired in the British Art Market.
In good condition with wear associated with age and use.
