About the Item
1905, England, Unusual and striking Edwardian letter box with leather sides. The curved top and base are mounted with scrolling sterling silver. The front has a monogrammed ("DEW") plate inscribed "El Argentino 15 November 1906" and hallmarks for Dibdin & Co., Birmingham. The box opens to vibrant red watermark silk lined compartments. The lever lock currently non functioning. The key is retained.

Condition:
Good, minor surface wear to exterior, some buckling of silver mounts, silk interior with some fraying and loss, detached slats. Key and lock intact but non functioning. Would benefit from a professional cleaning and polishing.
