Crafted in southern France circa 1890 and square in shape, the traditional stool stands on cabriole legs decorated with floral motifs at the shoulders, and ending with escargot feet; it is further dressed with a serpentine X stretcher at the base, embellished with a central finial. The bombe apron is decorated with floral and leaf decor. The seat is upholstered with the green velvet fabric, and dressed with brass nail heads around the frame.
