About the Item

A very beautiful rectangular box made of fine porcelain, decorated in the imperial style of the First Empire. The decoration, dominated by green and gold tones, illustrates the refinement of Napoleonic aesthetics. The lid is adorned with a crested helmet, a lictor's fasces, and a quiver of arrows, surrounded by laurel branches, symbols of glory and victory. The whole rests on a deep green background, framed by an elegant frieze of white laurel leaves and gilded fillets. The edges feature geometric decoration reminiscent of the refined marquetry of the early 19th century. On the front, a noble monogram "N" stands out, framed by foliage, the imperial emblem of Napoleon I. The finely fitted brass frame features a latch closure typical of prestigious jewelry boxes or snuff boxes. Inspired by the productions of great imperial factories such as Sèvres, this piece pays homage to Napoleonic grandeur, combining classicism, power and imperial elegance.
