A charming antique English iron Milner's strong box painted green with John Layton inscription. Manufacturer label is intact on the interior. With the inscribed name and numbering labels perhaps this was a safety deposit box. Wear is evident on the top, see photos. A decorative, historic accent to any room. Fit with a lock to store important documents.
Condition commensurate with age and use. Worn spots on the top of the box. Structurally sound. Original labels intact though side box paper label is beginning to peel up under the handle.
