Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this absolutely exquisite ornately hand carved Antique Italian box depicting stallion horses circa 1840
A very good looking and well made piece, it is hand carved all over depicting a large important looking horses to the top, the sides looks like some kind of a story, there seems to be rural carts, dancers, jesters and even a couple kissing, it is pure Italian Grand Tour opulence, this would have sat in a study as a conversation piece
The condition is good for the age, the top is separate from the base and it looks like a long time ago small hinges were fitted, I have left it as it is so the new owner can decide what they would like to do with it
