Unusual and Ornate Gilt Bronze Champlevé Enamel Lidded Casket. After a bamboo box, this champlevé box contains five enameled faces with gilt bronze bamboo trim and tree branch feet. Each face contains a black background with gilt stems and branches dappled with multi colored enamel flowers and leaves, all arranged in a symmetrical composition. Date: Late 19th century Origin: French Dimension: 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches
