“Double Circles” Lacquered Guinea Feather Box with Crystals
About the Item
A double circle box. Covered in black and ivory Guinea feathers hand applied one feather at a time! This artisanal technique is done with a secret sauce that has been used in the accessory trade for decades. Once the feathers have "set" and are ready, chalk white crystals from the best crystal maker in the world are attached throughout the box. This allows a shimmer when light hits it. The interior is lacquered in black with a topcoat for protection. The bottom is finished with a 100% European black wool lining for protection. The feather coloration is a warm accent to many different color themes. Ivory and black is a classic combination that never goes out of style. This box will coordinate with many different style periods too. As a box collector I was very satisfied upon its completion, I think you will be to.
