French 19th Century Sarreguemines Star-Shaped Porcelain Box with Floral Motifs
About the Item
A French Sarreguemines star-shaped porcelain box from the late 19th century with floral motifs and ribbon design. Created in the Moselle department located in current Northeastern France, this porcelain box features a star shape perfectly adorned with delicate pink, blue and yellow flowers and a teal-colored ribbon. The lid opens to reveal an interior with a removable pierced divider. The box showcases a cursive Sarreguemines with U & C overlay mark on the underside revealing a circa 1875-1900 date (at which time the Moselle belonged to Germany). With its elegant silhouette and lovely décor, this late 19th century Sarreguemines porcelain box will be an excellent decorative addition to any home.

It is very similar to Sevres pieces with it’s color, decoration and design.
