Late 19th-century Carpenter’s Box
About the Item
An honest box with a little bit of drama. This late 19th-century oak carpenter’s chest is all about substance and soul. Dovetailed corners, chunky iron handles, and a brass lock plate that’s aged like a good leather jacket. The carved molding detail gives it just enough polish, while the surface wear—rings, scratches, and scuffs—reminds you it’s lived a life. One of the hinges is a little loose, but still functional (just like most of us). Stash your tools, your trinkets, or the stuff you want hidden but close at hand.
