Small Italian Neoclassical Showcase Ebonized Wood Showcase Early 1800s

About the Item

Theca table top in early 1800s Ebonized Poplar Wood small display case with modern glass accessible from the panel on the back hinged and locked by an eyelet. The sides of this small display case are decorated with a lozenge frame. The interior is lined with red velveteen trimmed with gold trimmings. The display case is an ideal container for a small collection of medals, miniatures , pocket watches or other items. It is in good condition; the interior reveals signs of wear consistent with the date. This object is shipped from Italy. According to Italian law, any antique object can only be exported with a license issued by the Ministry of Culture, so-called BELLE ARTI. It takes 2 to 3 weeks to apply for and obtain this license, time to be added to the order processing time.
