This is a vintage hotel tea chest. A Chinese, pewtered alloy chá caddy, dating to the Art Deco period, circa 1930. Delightful Art Deco caddy, with superb engraved detail Displays a desirable aged patina, lightly time worn with careful use Fascinating pewtered alloy box presents silvery grey tonality Opens to reveal a removable compartment tray, the lid offering a good seal Striking double dragon engraving accentuates the lid, with foliate engravings to the fascia Adorned to the lid interior and base with character mark engravings This is a striking vintage hotel tea chest, with a skilfully engraved finish displaying prime Chinese iconography. Delivered ready to enjoy.
