XX Century Italian Solid 800 Silver Decorative Box with Hippos Elephants Birds
About the Item
Heavy rectangular solid silver decorative box made in Valenza - Italy in the late 60s by ARVAL ARGENTI VALENZA.
The box is hinged and is smooth on all 4 sides.
A thick embossed plate in solid silver has been applied to the lid, depicting in detail an exotic African landscape, with a pond where hippos, elephants and birds are drinking. The finish of the embossment is shiny and burnished.
The inside of the box has been plated in 24kt gold.
This box of unusual workmanship is particularly suitable for lovers of exotic animals and can easily be placed in any type of furniture.
