About the Item

This fine quality vintage gold brooch has been produced in 18 carat yellow gold. E. Wolfe & Co is a London based family run fine jewellery manufacturer, established in 1850's. They specialize in gem set novelty insects, animals and fish etc. The brooch has been modelled in the form of a frog, in an illustrative style. This brooch has a textured finish representing the body of the frog's skin . The 18ct yellow gold frog is embellished with nine pavé set eight-cut diamonds displayed on the back. The head of the frog is further ornamented with a pair of cabochon set round cut Emeralds, representing the eyes. This superb frog brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and clasp. This impressive frog brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 18 carat gold and this is fully hallmarked A fabulous quality textured 18ct yellow gold frog with round brilliant-cut diamonds to the body with a total weight of 18 carats and a pair of cabochon-cut ruby eyes, length 25mm, maker's mark 'EW & Co.'
