    A superb example of an early English tea poy of compact proportions. First quarter of the 19th century, Regency period. The rectangular hinged lockable lid with corner canted angles, enclosing four lidded compartments, above an exquisitely hand carved foliate and leaf capped column with shaped platform base ending on finely carved claw feet. Condition: Superb condition with no losses to inlays, interior foil linings are quite worn, very nice untouched surface patination. Lock and key are present and working, original metal castors are also present. Measures: Height: (overall as shown) 30” (76cm), width: 19” (48cm), depth: 13.75” (35cm).
