An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver gilt and cranberry coloured glass communion set; an addition to our diverse religious silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian cast sterling silver gilt communion set consists of a chalice, paten and wine phial/flask. The chalice has a circular rounded form onto a paneled hexagonal knopped pedestal and spreading foot. The surface of the chalice is ornamented with impressive engraved undulating borders accented with geometric motifs, all above a lobed design emanating from the paneled knopped pedestal. The hexagonal foot of this exceptional chalice is encircled with engraved arched geometric designs, accented with applied moulded borders to the rim. The paten has a circular form to a plain circular base. The plateaued border of the paten is embellished with impressive engraved simplified organic motifs flanked between applied bead style borders. A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver double coaster trolley; an addition to our wine and drinks related silverware collection. This magnificent, fine and impressive antique silver coaster trolley has been crafted in the form of a carriage. The body of each coaster is embellished with fine and impressive cast scrolling fruiting vine decoration extending to the upper shaped rim; this ornamentation includes vines, foliage and grape clusters. The body of each exceptional coaster is further embellished with three contemporary bright cut engraved crests, each depicting an armoured arm embowed beneath a coronet. The pair of fine and impressive coasters are set upon an undercarriage which is fitted with impressive cast spoked wheels; the exceptional larger rear wheels indicate the fine quality of this superior example. The anterior portion of this exceptional double coaster trolley has been designed to pivot on an axle; the trolley is fitted with a swivelling handle, enabling the magnificent example to be rolled and turned. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver gilt and cranberry glass dish; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver dish has an oval form. The sterling silver body of the antique dish is embellished with impressive pierced decorated interlacing scrolling decoration, accented with simplified floral motifs, in addition to scrolling leaf designs to the lower portion. The body is further embellished with four large embossed swag style leaf designs. The large leaf designs alternate with embossed bead bordered cartouches, three incorporating cast and applied floral spray medallions and the fourth incorporating monogrammed initials. The upper rim of the dish is encompassed with an applied bead decorated border. This exceptional dish is fitted with two cast and applied handpieces, incorporating a figural mask encompassed with scrolling decoration. The dish is supported by an oval domed spreading foot, embellished with further pierced decorated scrolling leaf decoration. This antique centrepiece is fitted with the impressive original cranberry glass liner. The surface of this exceptional sterling silver dish retains the original parcel gilding. This ornate dish is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.
