This is a refined and exquisite lacquered wooden box, with polychrome and golden decoration on dark blue background. The dark blue color could seems a dark green. On the lid bright red and ivory volutes with lace inserts meticulously painted. Inside an exotic garden are depicting two Oriental human figures dressed in golden clothes. Band decorated with floral and volute motifs. It could be a magnificent jewelry case. At the centre of the lid a large country landscape with figures inspired by 18th Century Venetian views that recall the themes of Arcadia.
