For sale is a good quality William IV rosewood tea poy, opening to a fitted interior retain its original glass bowls, above a turned stem over a platform base, standing on elegant feet raised on original castors. The tea poy remains in very good condition for its age. Measures: Width: 46cm Depth: 38cm Height: 82cm.

A superb example of an early English tea poy of compact proportions. First quarter of the 19th century, Regency period. The rectangular hinged lockable lid with corner canted angles, enclosing four lidded compartments, above an exquisitely hand carved foliate and leaf capped column with shaped platform base ending on finely carved claw feet. Condition: Superb condition with no losses to inlays, interior foil linings are quite worn, very nice untouched surface patination.
