About the Item

George III satinwood two chamber tea caddy of fine figure and color edged with a darker wood string inlay, the top inlaid with a large ovel enclosing a conch shell, the bottom edge inlaid with a chevron pattern in dark and light contrasting wood. On the front is a diamond form keyhole surround of bone (no key). The lid opens to reveal two compartments with satinwood lids edged with geometric inlay.
