Monumental Antique English Regency Brass Inlaid Rosewood Sarcophagus Tea Caddy

About the Item

PLEASE NOTE EXTRAORDINARILY LARGE DIMENSIONS!!! Quite possibly the largest and finest antique English inlaid rosewood monumental size Sarcophagus shape tea caddy we have ever procured. In mint condition, this caddy retains its exceptionally hand engraved brass inlay, rosewood exterior, with works of ebony within the corner scrolling volutes. The interior lids are original also retaining their exceptionally fine engraved brass inlays and the interior of each caddy box retains portions of its original foil lining. The center well has an extraordinary Anglo-Irish cut glass pedestal mixing bowl which may not be original but fits perfectly well (and is as receieved/purchased). The bottom of the caddy has its original bunn-shaped caddy feet. The hinges and lock are also original but no key is present. It is in the finest, antique age-appropriate condition possible. A true Museum-worthy piece. Please note remarkable monumental size at 18" wide, 10" high and 9.5" deep.
