William IV Rosewood and Mother-of-Pearl Inlaid Tea Caddy, English, ca. 1835

William IV rosewood tea caddy, of sarcophagus form with finely inlaid mother-of-pearl medallions with stylized acanthus leaves, the escutcheon plate with further similar decoration, the interior with both original chamfered solid rosewood compartment lids and original rosewood knop handles, on original solid rosewood bun-form feet, English, ca. 1835.
