Antique 19 century Sheffield Silverplate Candelabrum

This antique 19 century Sheffield Silver Co. Candelabrum circa.1877. It will be a great addition to one's collection of Antique Lighting for use & decorative display. & for those seeking a bold and elegant Antique this Silver plate Candelabrum will likely meet your needs. It exemplifies a variety of artistic influences with vivid expressions and alluring themes. The Antique Candelabrum is English in origin, approximate date of production set at or between 1877 - 1901 per the whole mark at the bottom of the base . The Candelabrum is composed of two Pieces; the lower Piece being the: (Stem/Base/Well), and the upper Piece being the: (Shoulder/Arm/Capital). It's comprised of: thick, heavy, quality, ornate, polished, Silverplate. As noted, the Silver Candelabrum is styled in accordance with a multitude of artistic influences; most notably Art Nouveau. also some evidence of: Baroque & Rococo Revival, Victorian, and perhaps a touch of Neo-Gothic too. What's especially appealing about this Candelabrum is its versatility. It would be a statement center piece. It can be used for Lighting; enabling for Five separate Candles to be displayed. It can also be used as a single Candlestick, simply by separating the lower half with that of the upper. The base and arms/Branches are ornate in fashion. The bottom of the Base is Hallmarked indicating its origins & composition too. Although an Antique of might be more than a 100 years, ( please refere to the photo of a copy of English marks ). The condition : The Candelabrum is in a most impressive and noteworthy state of condition. With the exception of age-related scuff marks, and an accumulation of Patina, which aids in accentuating the intricate lines and elaborate patterns expressed throughout the Candelabrum. Weight (8.8lbs.) Aproximate measurements: (W)17.5in. x (L)17.5in. x (H)19in.
