Each impressive three light candelabrum retains the original hallmarked detachable push fit scrolling arms embellished with reed decoration. The branches (labra) support two cylindrical capitals, each encompassed with bands of applied gadroon decoration. The capitals are fitted with the original hallmarked push fit square sconces, embellished with further gadroon decorated borders to the rims. Each capital of these Victorian candelabra centrepieces surmounts an impressive square drip pan, featuring identical ornamentation to that of the sconces. Each silver candelabrum is fitted with a third detachable central elevated capital. These versatile Victorian candelabra can be used as candlesticks once the arms are detached, alternatively, the labra may be conjoined to form a five-light candelabrum. The panelled waisted column of each candlestick is encompassed with gadroon decoration to the knops. The plain square swept foot incorporates a plain sunken well, and is embellished with gadroon decoration to a plain collet style rim. These fine vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver candelabra have a panelled hexagonal form, in the classic early 18th English style. Each impressive candelabrum retains the original hallmarked detachable push fit scrolling arms, which support circular baluster shaped capitals surmounting plain hallmarked dished drip pans. Each candelabrum is fitted with three labra conjoined to with a central baluster shaped finial. These versatile vintage candelabra can be used with three lights or as candlesticks once the arms (labra) are detached. The panelled waisted column of each candlestick is embellished with a rounded knop to the lower portion. The hexagonal swept foot incorporates a subtle plain circular sunken well. Each candelabrum does not have a weighted base. These exceptional candelabra were crafted by the renowned London silversmith Richard Comyns of William Comyns & Sons Ltd.
