Flair Candelabra and Serving Trays Set of Six Mid-Century Modern by 1847 Rogers

About the Item

Gorgeous set of six pieces of silver-plate by 1847 Rogers Bros. IS from their Flair line. The set includes one large serving tray, a pair of smaller serving trays, a bon bon dish, and a pair of candelabra. They are all in wonderful condition apart from the bon bon dish which was, obviously, used quite often as the base metal is showing through the silver-plate. Not so with the other five wonderful pieces, circa 1956. Flair is the name and is it ever on point! This incredible mid-century modern silver-plate by 1847 Rogers Bros. IS, is from their Flair pattern created in 1956. Six pieces make up this set comprised of the most fabulous pair of mid-century modern designed candelabra I’ve encountered plus three trays and a bon bon dish. The base, column, and sconces of the candelabra are formed by three serpentine individual pieces which are cinched together at the waist with an amber colored cord that by doing so provides three sconces in each candelabra. The trays have free flowing serpentine lines that are extremely pleasing to the eye. This design is vintage yet classic and will last your lifetime and longer. We have polished these for photographing; but, the patina they had obtained by not being polished was very interesting and beautiful too. So, you needn’t worry about always having these bright and shiny. You just need to make this set your own. Candelabra: • Height – 8 inches • Width and depth – 6 inches • Weight – 2 pounds Large tray: • Height – 1 inches • Length – 18.25 inches • Depth – 13 inches • Weight – 2.7 pounds Small trays: • Height – 1.5 inches • Length – 13 inches • Depth – 9.5 inches • Weight – 1.5 pounds each Bon bon dish: • Height – 1 inches • Length – 7 inches • Depth – 5.5 inches • Weight – .5 pounds Boxed size: • Height – 16 inches • Width – 19 inches • Depth – 25 inches • Weight – 20 pounds.

  • Vintage Mid-Century Modern Club Lounge Chair by Flair Division for Bernhardt
    By Bernhardt
    Located in Topeka, KS
Handsome Mid-Century Modern club chair or lounge chair from the Flair Division of Bernhardt Furniture. It is in wonderful vintage condition and wearing its original light turquoise blue nubby fabric. It has been professionally cleaned but the fabric does have fading as you would expect and there are still stains but no holes or tears. It will be at its best recovered. It is priced accordingly. Please see photos, circa 1960s. I must tell you when we walked into the home where we obtained this chair and many of our other recent and soon to be offerings, I thought if I was ever going to faint this is the time. Of course, the house itself blew me away and then……the original furniture and art in all its glory. This chair is part of a three-piece living room suite by Bernhardt Furniture Flair Division and we are offering all three pieces this week. This club chair with its Lawson styling and loose cushions is really comfy; plus, it is held up off the floor with a fabulous base. The base or legs are comprised of a pair of walnut planks turned upright and running from front to back on each side of the chair. Simple yet dynamic. Bernhardt Furniture was established in 1889 by John Mathias Bernhardt and has been going strong for over 125 years. He spent many years out west in Oregon Territory. After a serious illness, traveling back home to Lenoir, North Carolina and working as a logger in the densely forested foothills of Grandfather Mountain...
