About the Item
A very fine pair of 19th century French Louis XIV st. ormolu five arm candelabras. Each candelabra is raised on a square base with canted corners flanked by scrolling acanthus leaves. The baluster shaped fut has richly chased figures amidst scrolls with an urn on top. Above are four S scrolled arms and a central straight arm, all with etchings of foliage ending with urn shaped candlecups. The scrolling arms can be removed to create a single candlestick. All original gilt.
