About the Item
These antique candelabras are a wonderful combination of three contrasting tones: the golden color of gilt , the black color of the bronze that makes the angel figure a focal point and the deep green color of malachite brings high aesthetics features at the end. The pedestals of candelabras have a rectangular shape that provides a sturdy base. The ormolu motifs inlaid on the rectangular pedestals are reminiscent of art nouveau. Art Nouveau is famous for its flowery and asymmetrical waves inspired from nature such as flowers, plants, with soft curves such as semicircles, parabolas, or arcs, which also resembles the style of Louis Philippe; the French king after the revolution of 1830.
Gilt bronze floral image on malachite rectangular base is acanthus leaf pattern. The multi-petaled flowers are meticulously interlaced in acanthus motifs, bringing the aspect of nature.
Above the rectangular base are foliate cast pedestal with a domed top and a beautiful statue of a winged woman upon it. The goddes-like figure is made out of patinated bronze with a laurel wreath on her head made of bright gold ormolu. That small detail highlights the womens face as well as helps the viewer closely observe the anthemia motif on the corinthian column leading to the 6 candles above.
This Louis Philippe style chandelier with 6 lights brings a unique beauty with classic motifs often popular in decorative arts.
Malachite, also known as green gemstone, is a copper carbonate hydroxide mineral with the chemical formula Cu₂CO₃(OH)₂. It is renowned for its characteristic green color, often featuring beautiful stripes or patterns, creating highly impressive natural designs. Below is some important information about malachite:
Characteristics:
Color: Green, ranging from light to dark green, often with overlapping stripes or veins, creating natural shapes like eyes, waves, or circles.
Hardness: Malachite has a Mohs hardness of approximately 3.5 to 4, making it relatively soft compared to other gemstones. It can be easily scratched or broken if not handled carefully.
Composition: Mainly composed of copper minerals, the distinctive green color of malachite is due to the presence of copper.
Origin: Malachite is typically mined from large copper deposits, with notable sources including Congo, Russia, Zambia, Australia, and the United States.
Uses and Significance:
Decorative and artistic: Malachite is widely used in the crafting of decorative items, vases, furniture, and jewelry. Its unique color patterns often make it a popular choice in art pieces and luxury decorations.
Spiritual and Feng Shui: In ancient cultures, malachite was considered a protective stone, believed to absorb negative energy and protect the wearer from harm. It is also thought to bring prosperity, luck, and emotional balance.
Traditional Medicine: Some believe that malachite can help reduce stress and anxiety, and aid in achieving emotional balance.
Applications:
Jewelry: Malachite is used in various types of jewelry, such as necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings.
Interior decor: Malachite is often found in decorative items like sculptures, candle holders, vases, furniture, and high-end interior art pieces.
Collectibles: Natural malachite stones or malachite products are highly sought after by collectors.
Care:
Due to its low hardness, malachite can be easily damaged if not properly cared for. Avoid exposing the stone to harsh chemicals or high temperatures, and clean it with a soft cloth to maintain its natural beauty.
Malachite is not only a visually stunning gemstone but also carries significant spiritual and Feng Shui meaning. It is widely applied in various fields, from jewelry to interior art.

Pair of Louis Philippe style of malachite and ormolu candelabras
Located in Warsaw, PL
"Beauteous antique candelabras are a wonderful combination of three contrasting tones. The golden color of gilt bronze evokes immense luxury, nobility, and wealth.
The black color of the ebony gives the angel figure a highlight that is not boring and bounded by the majestic yellow color.
Dark green by malachite brings clarity, creativity, and high aesthetics placed at the end. The pedestals of pair candelabras have a square shape that provides solidity, regularity, and symmetry. The ormolu motifs inlaid on the rectangular podium are reminiscent of art nouveau. Art Nouveau is famous for its flowery and asymmetrical waves.
Art nouveau has inspiration from nature such as flowers, plants, with soft curves such as semicircles, parabolas, or arcs. But the truth is this chandelier is in the style of Louis Philippe (1830-1848).
Louis Philippe style is one of the special styles that often take advantage of the luxurious aesthetics of malachite. Louis Philippe style is named after Louis Philippe - the French king after the revolution of 1830.
Louis Philippe style inherits many styles but is characterized by increased electric development of neoclassicism. In addition, the Neo-Gothic and French Restoration syle elements are clearly expressed by less cumbersome motifs, expressing comfort, elegance and emphasizing the wonderful beauty of natural malachite on the candle holder.
Gilt bronze floral garland printed on malachite rectangular base is acanthus leaf pattern. Acanthus leaves are usually very coherent in card form, large in shape, and serrated. Acanthus leaves pattern is the inspiration of many manufacturers because it has a classic but no less special breath of the Renaissance. The multi-petaled flowers are meticulously interlaced in acanthus motifs, bringing the breath of nature. In the end, a floral and acanthus leaves pattern with lots of curves l2 straight lines vector artichoke print...
