Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Bronze and Ormolu Candelabras
About the Item
A charming pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. patinated bronze and ormolu candelabras. Each four arm candelabra is raised by a square ormolu base with a fine wrap around berried laurel and mottled support where the charming winged cherubs at the centers are dancing. Each cherub is draped in a lovely flowing fabric and is seemingly holding the beautiful arms over his head. The elegantly scrolled arms are adorned with large richly chased acanthus leaves and display superb spiral fluted foliate candle cups and center one single arm decorated in the same manner.
