Künstlerische Details
Jeder Kandelaber trägt eine anmutige, klassische weibliche Figur in der ikonischen Form einer Kanephore (Korbträgerin), die ein Motiv aus der griechischen Antike aufgreift. Die Figur aus olivfarben patinierter Bronze ist in fließende, antike Gewänder gehüllt. Die Drapierung ist im virtuosen "nassen Stil" ausgeführt, bei dem der dünne Stoff eng am Körper anliegt, um die anatomische Form elegant zu betonen. Die Figur balanciert auf ihrem Kopf einen kelchförmigen Aufsatz, aus dem sich das opulente, siebenflammige Kerzengestell entfaltet.
Das Kerzengestell ist vollständig aus hochwertiger Ormolu gefertigt, reich verziert mit Palmetten, Akanthusblättern und klassischen Motiven. Die brillante Vergoldung steht in einem spannungsvollen Kontrast zur tiefen, olivfarbenen Patina der Figur.
Die Basis bildet ein architektonischer Sockel aus Schwarzmarmor oder ebonisiertem Material. Dieser ist mit feinen, vergoldeten Applikationen besetzt und ruht auf ziselierten Tatzenfüßen.
