A beautiful and most elegant pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu sconces, signed Sormani. Each two arm sconce is centered by an elegant tapered backplate with a fine foliate bottom finial and striking acanthus leaves. The two elegantly scrolled arms are adorned with additional acanthus leaves leading to beautiful foliate bobeches and lovely candle cups in a rich satin and burnished finish. Above are striking intricately detailed foliate and blooming flower designs with a charming tied ribbon.
