About the Item

Candle holder sconces from France from the Empire period. This finely cast pair of sconces features a solid brass structure with a swan holding two chained candle sconces. In the French Empire period the swan was the symbol of Empress Joséphine. This piece is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition.
