About the Item
A lovely and most elegant true pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu sconces. Each beautiful two arm sconce is centered by foliate decorated bottom finials that serve as the standing platform for the cherub above. The cherub above is adorned in flowing loose fitting robes while holding an electrified arm on each arm and capped with a floral crown. Each scrolling arm is wonderfully decorated with acanthus leaves leading up to the foliate designed candle cups.
