Chinese Export Porcelain Maiden Lotus Candlesticks,
A Pair,
Circa 1765
The pair of Chinese maiden candlesticks are each in the form of a Chinese maiden holding a lotus flower candle holder in her arm, her other arm reaching over to support the holder. Her dress is finely decorated in beautifully colored famille rose and tones of pink, red and turquoise. Her hair is held up in a bun. They each hold the candlestick in opposite arms.
Dimensions: 11 1/2 inches high x 4 inches wide x 3 inches deep.

- Condition:Repaired: The maidens had been mounted and had a hole in the base- now invisibly repaired. One candleholder off and invisibly repaired and one figure with two tips of fingers similarly repaired. a small hairline to one is invisibly repaired. Wear consistent with age and use.
