Highly Embossed Gothic Revival Candle Holders North Wind Warrior Ram Pot Metal
About the Item
This is a fantastic heavy pot metal pair of highly embossed Gothic Revival candlesticks with fabulous decoration including the north wind on the base, a ram on the sides which are both surrounded by busy raised decorations and there are warrior heads on all four sides below the flared top. The patina on these candlesticks has not aged at the same rate, one has retained more of the gold finish and they each show varying degrees of wear to the raised decoration especially the warrior heads, this may have been in the making so they looked aged when they were new.
The candlesticks are about 7 inches tall and the bases are about 4 1/2 inches square and the stick part is about 1 inch square.
