Pair of 18th Century Italian Scroll Candlesticks with Copper and Baroque Pearls

About the Item

Pair of 18th century Italian scroll candlesticks adorned with natural forming copper and natural forming baroque pearls mounted on copper in matrix. These candlesticks were once used in a church in Italy. They have the original candlestick holders and drip trays. The copper, originally from Michigan, is applied to look as though it naturally formed on the pieces creating a pair that appears to have evolved together over time. The candlesticks have been preserved and transformed by Jean O'Reilly Barlow, the creative director of Interi. The date of manufacture reflects when she transformed the pieces and the period shows that the Italian candlesticks are originally 18th century. The pair of altar sticks transformed with the elements to create contemporary works of old and new.
