Pair of exceptionally rare thanksgiving candle sticks holders enamel brass, 1900

About the Item

Pair of two wonderful thanksgiving candlesticks, made out of brass firegilt, in the 1900s in France. Candlesticks like these were displayed in the church to thanksgiving. The objects are highly decorative and consist of a base, which is designed as a small vase with handles, which is decorated with blue enamel. Various stems grow out of the small vase, some with candle bowls, ears of wheat, grapes and various leaves. All floral elements are designed very naturally and masterfully executed. There is space for 5 candles on each candle holder. Measurements each, approx.: height 24,61 in – 62 cm, width 12,20 in – 31 cm, depth 6,69 in – 17 cm The special thing about these religious candlesticks is not only their rarity, their design but of course also that they are still preserved as a pair. The exquisite surface is stunningly well preserved – the fireguilt is the fire gilding is in impressively good condition
