Elegant pair of silver-plated pewter candlesticks in Art Nouveau style, designed by Achille Gamba.
Germany early 20th century.
Each candelabra depicts a stylized female figure with long flowing hair, branching out as six curved arms that end in flower-shaped candleholders.
Underneath is the mark of an angel inside an oval with the letters AB
The work fully expresses the taste of the time for wavy lines, floral motifs, and the celebration of the female figure as an allegory of beauty and nature.
