Rare Pair of 16th / 17th Century Dwarf Brass Capstan Candlesticks, Netherlands

About the Item

Both of these rare & diminutive 'dwarf' brass capstan candlesticks, aka ‘Rokkandelaars’ (Dutch term meaning 'sconce skirt'), showing cylindrical & belted sockets with twin ejecting apertures issuing from turned columns over disc-shaped drip pans, raised overall on flaring domed bases. Dimensions, 4” high x 3” diameter.
