Pair of Mid-Century Cala Lily Candle Holders in Silver Plate by Hans Jensen, marked “Denmark” along with the maker’s mark.
Vintage Mid-Century Danish Modern Hans Jensen silver plated sculptural Calla Lily candleholder featuring three candle cups, in a stylized calla lily form, on curvilinear arms and geometric base.

These candle holders are marked as pictured.
Dimensions: 11 x 9 x 6 inches each.
Vintage condition with some patina on the plating.
Circa 1960s.
Made in Denmark.
Hans Hansen (1884-1940) opened a goldsmith shop and smithy in Kolding, Denmark about 1906.
Kolding was already well known for its silver and in particular for the well known Goldsmith Holger Kyster and the silverware he produced designed by famous silversmiths Th. Bindesboll, Joakim Skovgaard and Svend Hammerhoj.
By the 1920s Hansen was producing his own line based on his and H.F. Gross' designs. Initially the company produced flatware.
Once that was successful they started with jewelry.
The first pieces were designed by Hansen himself around 1931 but production of jewelry really began in 1932 with a collection designed by Hansen's son Karl Gustav Hansen.
Hans Jensen is one of the important mid century designers, being a member of the group that created the concept of Danish Modern, the movement that was known for simple, sleek, and utilitarian design.
