A Miniature Silver Carriage Clock in original case by W. Thornhill

About the Item

A fine miniature silver carriage clock in its original red leather case by W. Thornhill. The fine 8 day platform escapement movement by the Geneva Clock Co. The leather case on inside doors in script "W. Thornhill & Co. 144 New Bond Street, London". Roman numerals on whi9te enamel dial with gold hands. The back of movement numbered 2114 and stamped JC within a cartouche for the Geneva Clock Co. Usually the movements in these carriage clocks are French, but this is a far higher quality Swiss movement from the Geneva Clock Co. who supplied Cartier their movements. London silver date mark for 1897, and London silver mark
