An Impressive French carriage clock in an engraved corniche style case, repeat striking on a bell and with an alarm function. It’s high quality and circa mid 19th century , c1860-70. , The dial is signed by the retailers Mackay Cunningham & Co, Edinburgh, they were in business by 1856. The engraved panels are what set this apart. The movement strikes on a bell which is typical of the period. The escapement is a lever platform. The back and sides are very nicely engraved,
