About the Item

French walnut Louis XV longcase clock from Meslay by Patou-Collin, 18th C. A lovely clean lined design with a single rounded door on the top opening to an elaborate gilt tin face molded surround with peacocks, swans and flowers with a central white clock face in roman numerals. Marked Patou-Collin, a Meslay. A long narrow lower door with a round glass window opens to the mechanism of the clock. Formerly working, in need of some repairs. All parts are included. Good overall structural condition. Measures: 12" deep x 19" wide x 86" high overall 12.5" wide x 16" deep face Provenance: Private Collection, Southampton, New York.
