20th Century John Thompson, London, Walnut & Mahogany Grandmother Tall Clock

About the Item

A fine example of a carved walnut & mahogany diminutive grandmother tall clock with a swan’s neck split pediment with inlaid full fan rosettes and a center urn finial surmounting a arch form glass door, opening to a brass arched Roman numeral dial face and cast spandrels with cherub heads, silver plated chapter ring and conforming dial arch with the clockmaker’s name “John Thompson, London,” flanked by reeded corner column supports, over an inlaid arched waist door, opening to a brass pendulum, over a base with quarter fan and line inlay, supported by four bracket feet. Dates to the 20th century, in very good working condition, the brass works recently serviced and ready for your home, with minor imperfections, dial face wear, and light wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: 58.5 in H x 14 in W x 9.5 in D. Ref: 8
