18th Century Thomas Moss, London, Fusee Bracket Clock in Mahogany Case

Thomas Moss Fusee bracket clock, London, brass silvered dial signed by the maker. "Thomas Moss, London." A mahogany veneered case with brass trim and bracket top. The movement is an anchor escapement and strikes the hour on a bell. Thomas Moss (1755-1823) is listed in Britten's "Old Clocks & Watches and Their Makers" 1743-78. Very good working condition, with a few minor case imperfections and light wear commensurate with age and use. The movement has been thoroughly cleaned. Includes winding key. Dimensions: 18.5 in H (handle up) x 11.38 in W x 7.25 in D.
