Antique Swedish mora clock from early 1800s in lovely later deep blue finish with distressed gold detailing and simple country style hood decoration and a wide belly body and a good roman numeral face with AAS marking. Measures: 194 cm. It has the classic extended belly of a traditional Swedish mora clock with detail on the body section and detailed pedestal carving. The clock body has the usual wood movement and distressing found in clocks of this age. please note - wood is a live substance and may change shape when it moves to a new environment with a different median temperature and humidity after shipping. This may cause splits to occur in panels after the clock has grown accustomed to its new home The clock is sold 'as is' : as a decorative piece only with the original mechanism and pendulum but not guaranteed to be in working order - If you want it working we can fit a professional hi torque battery mechanism for time keeping ( +£250) or you can have a great sounding chiming mech which replays the recorded chime through a small speaker with a volume control and 8 hour night off switch (+£350). These don’t come about often so here is your chance to get a really special mora clock.

    Repaired: probably some small repair during its life. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. Minor fading. The clock has some paint distressing and it is structurally sound with the usual wood movement for a piece of its age. It may some slight cracking /lifting in the face enamel and may exhibit some paint lifting in places. It has been lightly restored.
