About the Item

French Louis XVI tall case clock, c1800. They also are referred to as “St Nicolas-Clock” because they were made around the village Saint Nicolas d'Aliermont in Normandy. The oak case id beautifully carved with flowers and swags. The clock is running and has two weights with two counterweights. The enameled porcelain face is labeled "Plaisant Deux Grandes Ventes", which is a village in Normandy France.
