18th Century French Directoire Ormolu and Enamel Clock by Deverberie

Period French marble and ormolu mantel clock with sunburst or sun king motif original works. Gilding in great condition. Neoclassical form with enamel embellishments in great condition as well Directoire marble and gilt-bronze clock, France, late 18th-early19th century, figural mask issuing rays above a round enamel dial inscribed "DEVERBERIE RUE BARBETTE NO. 483 A PARIS," flanked by foliage stalks with figural relief plaques on a rectangular base with toupie feet Signed "Deverberie Rue Barbette" for Jean-Simon Deverberie, Paris.
