18th century French Louis XVI style and period mantel clock pendulum Style: Louis XVI, Georgian, Antique, French, Neo classical Material white marble, Mercury gold gilded bronze, Ceramic Wedgwood, glass Origin: France, Paris, 18th century Date of production 1770 - 1790 Color: White, Gold French Georgian Pendulumn clock. Made of white marble, ormolu or mercury gilt bronze and wedgwood plaques Original white enamel dial plate with roman numerals, a figural pendulum with the face of the French Sun King Louis XIV, Under the dial plate a bronze trophee of Mucic instruments, On top a basket with fruits, On the marble pilasters bronze flowers. The clock works and chimes perfectly. All bronze is genuine pure yellow gold mercury gilded, looks like a jewel. The dial and clock with its thread suspension are protected by its original concave glass. Condition Good, minor restoration at the marble on the back, well done and barely visible ( see pics), The clock movement is checked by a professional clock maker The clock has an eight days movement. It comes complete with the rewinding key, bell and the pendulum. It chimes every half and full hour. Please be aware that after shipping a clock must have a revision!
