19th Century Gilt Bronze and Marble Clock, Signed Oudin à Marseille

About the Item

This charming Louis XVI-style mantel clock is a fine example of French decorative craftsmanship, likely dating from the late 19th century. The clock features a white enamel dial signed Oudin and Marseille, framed in a finely chiseled gilt bronze case adorned with a playful Cupid figure holding a rose and bow, a classic symbol of love.
