Dutch Arts & Crafts Oak Mantle / Desk Clock with Stunning Bronze Dial Face 1915

About the Item

Very cool looking and perfectly running and striking Arts & Crafts pendulum. If you are looking for a great design and truly timeless (no pun intended) antique clock then this striking specimen from the 1910s could be perfect for you. The combination of the stained oak (and standing on four pillars) clockhouse and the circular bronze dial face with the many geometrical style literally lifts this wonderful antique clock above the average. The open design with the legs 'growing outward' also gives this clock its extra depth and the use of the coloring also emphasizes its geometrical Arts and Cafts design. Because of the darker background, the beautifully brass colored, Roman numerals really pop-out, making it easy to tell time as well. This creative and subtle feature too makes this clock the work of time telling art that it is. This antique clock also comes with the antique key for winding its perfect working, eight-day clock AND striking mechanism. This clock mechanism has at some point in time been replaced, but it is from the same era and it runs and strikes perfectly. Thanks to its ideal size this truly beautiful clock can be placed on your sideboard, your large desk and it will also look marvelous on your wooden or marble mantel.
